The news that users of these top-of-the-range Android devices most wanted to hear has finally arrived. As promised, the South Korean company started the process of updating the Samsung Galaxy S22 to the new One UI 6.
According to reports on social media, the stable and final version of One UI 6, based on Android 14, is already being distributed in some European countries. Unfortunately, it is not yet available to all users, but it will be a matter of time before that happens.
One UI 6 is finally starting to reach the Samsung Galaxy S22
The update to One UI 6 is being made available for the three models that make up the Galaxy S22 family. At issue are the builds S906BXXU6DWK4, S906BOXM6DWK4 and S906BXXU6DWK4.
This update is approximately 294 MB in size and brings with it the security fix for Android dated November 1, 2023. To download it, we recommend using a stable Wi-Fi connection to avoid overloading your data package. .
It is important, however, to emphasize that this update is only being made available to participants in the One UI 6 beta program. For those who did not participate in this testing phase, it will still take a little longer until they receive this expected update.
In any case, it shouldn’t be long before the update to One UI 6 reaches all users. Samsung is usually quick to make updates available to its users and should not change this pattern now.
The news we have now received aligns with the predictions made earlier this week. Then, we learned that One UI 6 should start reaching the European Samsung Galaxy S22 on November 15th.
One UI 6 will bring to Samsung Galaxy smartphones a range of new features inherited from Android 14 and even some Samsung touches. The highlight is greater lock screen customization, better permissions management, a new notification center and much more.
